Women in Anita Agnihotri’s Selected Short Stories: A Perspective from an Alternative Lens Manjushree Murmu, Research Scholar, Department of Bengali, Presidency University, Kolkata, West Bengal, India
ABSTRACT | ||
Anita Agnihotri was one of the brightest figures in Bengali literature, who established a unique literary paradigm. In her fiction, women walk alongside men, guided by their own consciousness and agency. The roles of daughter, wife, and mother are revealed within the framework of lived reality. Alongside traditional portrayals of women, this paper also presents a multifaceted depiction of women’s everyday lives.
