ABSTRACT | ||
A prominent contemplative storyteller of Northeast India is Soumitra Vaishya. He has continuously enriched the literature of this region by writing stories-poems-essays. His unique style of story writing and word weaving style easily set him apart from others. The plot of the story is created from the interrelationship between individual and the society. Most of the characters in storyteller Soumitra Vaishya's stories have created a mysterious atmosphere in the oscillation of reality and imagination of the middle-class mind. Moreover, his story shows the continuous changing form of human life and mind in the socio-economic and political cycle of social life in view of the reality of the country. Moreover, the people living in this region have different real problems, natural and unnatural, one is the struggle of uprooting, two is the flood problem. Naturally, this crisis of ethnicity touches the story of this storyteller. In our article, we will try to reach a clear opinion about the content and narrative techniques of the storyteller Soumitra Vaishya through an analytical discussion of some selected stories. | ||
