ABSTRACT | ||
Rabindranath Tagore & Satyajit Ray, two legendary personae in area of Art & Culture. There are many similarities we can find between them through their art form & content. In this particular essay we are trying to imply a comparative study on their art & thought process, especially political. State & Nation are the key words here. We have chosen allegorical dramas (mainly) of Tagore and so-called childrens’ films (Gupi Bagha Trio) of Ray, as main texts to decode their ironies & allegories in these. Also have highlighted the usage or requirments of this kind of symbolic play work. This kind of exercise is not only for art’s sake but also for political reason, but not the sake of typical party politics, here canvas is vast. Both of them are addressed as Humanist (though loosely), so their political view is manifestation of Mankind, and it’s also a part of their own philosophy. Here we will discuss the ‘POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY’. | ||
