Love and Nature in Rabindranath's Life Sumanta Rabidas, Independent Researcher, South Dinajpur, West Bengal, India
ABSTRACT | ||
If we look at Rabindranath's life, we can see how much space 'love and nature' occupied in his life. From a young age, it can be seen that Rabindranath used to sit on the second floor and watch the scenery of nature outside. Even as he grew up, it can be seen that when the shadow of happiness and sorrow fell on Rabindranath's life again and again, Rabindranath found a place to live in nature. Even though his first love came in the form of Anna Tarkhar, it did not last long. Again, when he lost his mind for the doctor's daughters while studying in England, he returned home with a broken heart and forgot everything. Rabindranath wanted to live in the love of Kadambari Devi, making Kadambari the 'pole star' of his life. But when Kadambari Devi committed suicide, the poet lost the strength to live in life again. At this time, the love of nature and his wife Mrinalini showed the poet the way to live. Even when his wife died, it is seen that love for nature, people, and country inspire the poet to live again. In this way, it can be seen that when the dark night approaches again and again in the poet's life, 'Love and Nature' shows the poet a new way to live. From the beginning to the end of his life, this 'Love and Nature' was inextricably linked with the poet's life. The image of this 'Love and Nature' has emerged again and again through the poet's various writings. This shows how much space 'Love and Nature' occupied in Rabindranath's life.
