Nirendranath Chakraborty was born in Faridpur, Bangladesh. Since childhood, he was fond of writing poetry, that is, playing the game of connecting words with words. He started writing and publishing poetry at the age of 16. His first published book is 'Neel Nirjan'. He has been writing poetry for a long time. He has done various experiments with poetry. He always tried to make poetry understandable to the common man. The poet's vision of life is very broad. Urban and rural life, nature, contemporary politics all find equal place in his poetry. Nirendranath Chakraborty is an unforgettable name in modern Bengali poetry. Many things are still unexamined in the discussion of his poetry. Like many other poets, he has written a lot about poetry, sometimes in verse and sometimes in prose. This is also a unique aspect of the poet's talent. He is a match for making poetry understandable to the common man. His poems are diverse in terms of thought and subject matter. He has experimented in creating the style of poetry. The ‘kabitar class’ book of about prosody is widely read. He has presented the beautiful and simple identity of Bengali rhythm. His poems are brilliant with the use of various rhythms, that is beyond words. The poet has thought a lot about the relationship between poetry and human life.
