ABSTRACT | ||
The fundamental structure Bangladeshi society is based on the rural lifestyle. The term village is not just a geographical area, it is a historical and cultural concept that has governed the lives, thoughts and values of Bengalis for centuries. Our economy, politics, society and culture have their roots in the villages. For centuries, our rural society was agriculturally dependent, tradition-centered and self-reliant. But over time, the nature of social structure, lifestyle, values and relationships have gradually changed. The spread of education, use of technology, employment abroad, urban communication and the impact of political changes have made today's villages dynamic. The main focus of the present study is to explore how and what’s the form of changes has occurred in Bangladesh in the past three decades and its nature. | ||
