ABSTRACT | ||
Kallol Lahiri has given a deep understanding of the relationship between the oppressor and the oppressed class1and the position of women in the Indian social system. Therefore, the narrative world of her novel has brought up the life of the people living in the inner circle of society2, the complexity of time and the struggle of women in the patriarchal3social system. The novel 'Indubala Bhater Hotel' is not limited to the kitchen and food, the partition of 19474, the great liberation war of Bangladesh and the Naxalbari movement5 in West Bengal have also been consciously highlighted in the narrative world of the novel under discussion. Along with this, the story of women's self-reliance6and struggle has emerged through the character of Indubala. The way she struggled for herself and her family despite thousands of adversities in society is a source of inspiration for women today. | ||
