ABSTRACT | ||
Those who have acquired mastery in their own language and have contributed to Islamic education by acquiring mastery in Arabic literature and Qur'an Hadith and Islamic science among the few Muslim scholars in Bangladesh Maulana Ubaidul Haque Jalalabadi (R.) is one of them. For the purpose of the donation program for the wide spread and promotion of education He chose the teaching as noble profession and devoted himself to this profession. After completing his studies at Darul Uloom Deoband, he came to Dhaka to and started teaching at Dhaka's Bara Katra Hosania Ashraful Uloom Madrasah. Maulana Ubaidul Haque (R.) spoke out against fraud of the East India Company. He insisted the importance of acquiring Islamic education to keep the East India Company alert in this regard by portraying deception scenario to the nation and he inspired the Bengali nation to observe Islamic education and culture. He studied the book regularly and used to write new Khutba in Arabic on Fridays and Eids. He was honest and brave. He used to give contemporary speeches in Khutba. He did not care about anyone. Maulana Ubaidul Haque (R.) was honored by various national and international organizations and institutions during his half-century-long career. His thoughts and actions on religion and education will give inspiration to people of all classes. | ||
