The Ground reality of Tripura people depicts in Bengali literature of Tripura. This scenario is different from Bengali literature of West Bengal and Bangladesh or which is called mainstream Bengali literature. Several complex historical and socio-political issues are deeply intertwined with the history of Bengalis in the state of Tripura—such as the refugee crisis, the Partition of India, migration, and identity conflicts. These developments brought about significant social, cultural, and demographic upheaval in the region. The impact of these issues is not only evident in the historical landscape of Tripura but also finds powerful expression in its literary narratives. In this context, the stories of Debabrata Deb vividly portray these turbulent times, capturing the emotional and existential struggles of displaced communities and reflecting the broader socio-political shifts in Tripura's evolving identity.
