ABSTRACT | ||
Bengali literature has been enriched in various ways by different literary periodicals. In the twentieth century, the role of periodicals in the practice and development of Bengali literature was immense. Sabujpatra, Kallol, Kali-Kalam, Pragati, and Porichoy played significant roles in shaping the course of Bengali literature and contributed to its enrichment in many ways. Yet, why did Buddhadeva Bose feel the need to publish a distinct literary magazine named Kobita? In this essay, we will attempt to explore that question. | ||
