ABSTRACT | ||
Among the few storywriters who enriched the Bengali Literature of the North-East in the 20th century, Ganesh Dey is a renowned writer. Where the Bengali literature of the North-East has a label called 'Deshbhag' in the mind of the reader; Ganesh Dey has given the reader a taste of a different story. However, Ganesh Dey's works have been discussed a little less in Bengali Literature. Although there is currently a lot of discussion among researchers or readers. Ganesh Dey was born on 8th May, 1941 in Lakshmipur village of Silchar city and died on 18th September, 2013. His literary life is thirty years. However, he limited his literary life only to writing 'Column'. Ganesh Dey has written six novels, forty-eight stories, more than a thousand Columns and several romantic Compositions and a few Poems. Our proposed topic of discussion is “Ganesh Dey’s ‘Ati Sadharan Ek Kahini’: An Analytical Study”. The story begins with a conversation between the author and a rickshaw puller. And in their conversation, another aspect of the masked nature of 20th century urban life emerges. Our main discussion will attempt to highlight those aspects. | ||
