ABSTRACT | ||
Riddles hold a very ancient place in folklore.
Although many consider them to be childish in nature, their significance in
folk society is immense. Across the world, various myths, literary works, and
legends contain riddles that have earned a place among the most famous riddles
globally. These include references from the Bible, the Mahabharata, or
mythological characters like the Sphinx, as well as from the comedies of
William Shakespeare, stories by Rabindranath Tagore, riddles created by the
renowned scientist Einstein, and even modern fiction like Harry Potter. Among
these, several notable riddles have been explored in this article. | ||
