ABSTRACT | ||
Traveling is the act of moving from one place to
another for the purposes like education, exploration, work, relaxation or
enjoyment. Humans have always been interested in knowing the unknown. Traveling
is a part of our life because it help
us to reduces daily life stress and refreshes the mind. But also it’s a process
to gather khowledge about different traditions and cultures. Culture is the
things that focus on the people and their daily life. Travel and culture are
related to each other. Travel builds connections between people in different
places. If you turn the pages of history, you will see that people have been
traveling since very long time to conquer countries, establish relations,
expand trade, acquire knowledge When people travel to different places, they
experience the lifestyle, food habits, rituals, language of other communities. Through
travel we can learn about various unknown cultures of different places that are
completely unknown to us. Suniti Kumar Chattopadhyay is world famous as a
linguist. In his youth, he went to England on a scholarship to study
linguistics, end wrote his first travel experiences in ‘patha chalti’ (1st
volume). ‘Rabindra-sangame dipomay bharat o shyam-desh’ was published in 1927. Then
travelogue ‘Europe’ was published in 2 volume. In this essay I am describing
the various form of culture besed on the travelogue ‘Rabindra-sangame dipomay
bharat o shyam-desh’ written by Sunitikumar Chattopadhyay. This travelogue is
the testament to the experiences of traveling to places such as java, bali,
shyam desh,
