Social Empowerment and Sexual Morality in Bani Basu’s Novel ‘Pancham Purush’

ABSTRACT
Sexuality has been built by combining biological and social aspects. The issue has also gained acceptance in the cultural sphere. Today’s global scope where Women and Men are combined, it seems significant to observe the issue from the perspective of women in the context of religion, society-polity-economy. In post independence Bengali literature, alongside male writers, themes of sexuality began to emerge explicitly in the works of female writers, and Bani Basu is no exception.The topic is Social Empowerment And Sexual morality In Bani Basu’s Novel ‘Pancham purush’. We have analysed the novel in the context of western philosophy, alongside, Indian culture. The history of how the ‘kama-kala’ evolved into joyless sex – is analyzed in the article.Form the perspective of social morality we have discussed sexual themes in the novel ‘Pancham Purush’. Our thoughts do not operate outside the scope of state surveillance, consequently, even sexual thoughts flow within the purview of state oversight. Society plays a sigficant role in the formation of one’s mindset. The article has been evaluated all these considerations.
