ABSTRACT | ||
Novels are the most popular branch of literature in modern times. The reason for this popularity comes from how the various diverse backgrounds of life can be depicted on the canvas of a novel. The life that the novel depicts is not a poetic thriller, not a dramatic scene but is rooted in real life. And, the reflection of the self-realization of novelists is the beginning of the modern novel. In the history of novels, Parichand Mitra to Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, RabindranathTagore, SaratChandra Chattopadhyay, Tarashankar Bandopadhyay, Vibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay, Manik Bandopadhyay are renowned novelists. These novelists have brought variety, modernity and reality to novels. The purpose of this article will be to expose the various aspects of modernity. | ||
