ABSTRACT
The research paper titled “ASRUSIKTO EK MOHAJIBONER AKHYAN” (The Tale of a Great Life Bathed in Tears) presents Rabindranath Tagore’s life not merely as a world-renowned man of letters, but as an extraordinary vessel of grief and struggle. It discusses, from various perspectives, the enduring history of melancholy, the procession of deaths, and the loneliness that lay hidden behind the brilliant circle of light of the Poet Laureate’s global success.

The research vividly portrays the loss of the poet’s mother in his youth, the sudden tragic death of Kadambari Devi, and the subsequent loss of one close relative after another.

Alongside this personal pain, it highlights the envious criticism of contemporary society and his family’s tribulations. Rabindranath did not limit this personal anguish to a state of mere sorrow; rather, he refined it through the fire of creativity, elevating it into a universal spiritual philosophy. Fundamentally, this project is a courageous attempt to uncover the solitary and sensitive essence of Tagore’s life, which served as the hidden source behind his immortal creation.
